THE U12 Cup which is organized by ALTINORDU and sponsored by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality starts on Friday the 3th April. There are 48 teams, which of them are 31 foreign teams from 21 different countries are going to play at the Selçuk- Efes Komplex of Altınordu. The games are going to start at 08:00 am. 120 matches are going to be played on the first day. 

Opening of our country's most attendant tournament of younger ages will be at 13:30 o'clock and opening speech will be done by the member of FIFA executive committee Şenes Erzik who left his job of vice of the UEFA last week due to the limit of his age.

The major of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Aziz Kocaoğlu, wished success the teams which are going to represent  Izmir in the tournament. The members of the Teams of Altay, Altınordu, Bucaspor, Göztepe, Izmirspor, Karşıyaka, Izmir Büyükşehir Belediyespor, Balçova Yaşamspor and Bornovaspor shared their excitements with the major Aziz Kocaoğlu. He said believing in the success of the teams and players from Izmir, who are going to be presented internationally: "Of course it's important to join the competition and to go for something. you are going to fix everything while working on it and go further." 

Aziz Kocaoğlu,  who believes in the synergy as long as a city holds together, also said: " We always have tried to lead in this topic. We filled Izmir's infrastructure leaks in sport many ways. The only lack we got is about the Stadium. We also support the work of our town."

Barış Orhunbilge, who is one of the the Member of the Board in Altınordu claimed that the tournament which started with 12 Teams reached 48 by now, thanks to the Izmir metropolitan minicipality and it's going to be a new lable for the city. Orhunbilg thanked Aziz Kocaoğlu for his support and said that they are going to grow the tournament.

Major Kocaoğlu took photos with the young football players in front of the clock tower. They played as a little show with minature goals and showed footballs soul in their best way.
